"Hurry? I have no time to hurry" is a quote attributed to Russian composer and conductor Igor Stravinsky. However, there is some uncertainty about its authenticity, as it isn't clear when or where Stravinsky said or wrote this. Regardless, the sentiment expressed in the quote aligns with Stravinsky's views on the importance of focused and deliberate work.

One can also interpret it as expressing the importance of living firmly in the present. Indeed, Stravinsky suggests that one shouldn't spend their time haring from one moment to the next, diluting their experience of right here and now with thoughts of the future. One should commit to savouring the present while it lasts. Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed.

Foresteppe is the flagship project of Russian electroacoustic musician and history teacher Egor Klochikhin. Egor hails from Berdsk, a Siberian town on the Berd River in Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia. It was founded in 1716 by peasants escaping serfdom and Old Believers seeking refuge from religious persecution. In a way, No Time to Hurry is a commemoration of the ways of life of the people who lived in peripheral regions of Russia, such as Berdsk during this period in time—a repository of echoes of an agrarian culture steeped in Orthodoxy and folklore that no longer exists, as well as a celebration of nature, innocence, memory, and whimsy.
